For QUICK ACCELERATION gear ratio (off the line, roll on’s, wheelies), request a 14t front sprocket and a 45t rear. The -1t front sprocket change is versatile because you can change back to the stock size 15t with same chain. This change will be quicker for sure, but your top gear cruising rpm’s will be higher, and your top speed will be slower. For FASTER TOP SPEED, and LOWER HIGHWAY CRUISING RPM’s , request a 16t front sprocket. A 42t rear sprocket. The +1t front sprocket change is more versatile because you can change back to the stock size 15t with same chain. The -2t/-3t rear sprocket change requires a different chain length, which needs altered to go back to stock. This change will be lower top gear crising rpm’s, and faster top speed for sure, ut will be slower in first gear take off. Original Factory Supplied OEM size sprockets are the calculated “Happy Medium” of off the line acceleration, roll on’s, and high speed engine rpm’s with the. Least amount of compromise on either top end or low end. Note; some SV’s come with 44t rear as orig. Equip, and some come with 45t. One tooth on the rear is a very slight change, but 45t is just a little quicker which is the most popular size. A 1 tooth change in the front is equivalent to a 3 tooth change in the rear.. EXAMPLE: (-1 tooth front = +3 teeth rear) or (+1 tooth front = -3 teeth rear). EXAMPLE: -1 tooth front. Is the same as +4 rear only without changing the front. For sale is a Ashcroft ATB lsd converted for a chain drive setup. It’s originally designed for use on an mx5 and has MK1 mx5 stub shafts fitted. The differential itself is new and unused. There’s 2 sprockets included as seen in the pictures. The differential is mounted in some custom billet housings and is currently put together with dummy bearings for easy assembly during build stage and c. Omes with new actual bearings and side seals. All this is required to finish it is to add a drain/fill plug and order more bolts to hold it together. The mounting plates supplied are slotted so the diff locates correctly and won’t twist they are profiled to fit a mini subframe but easily modified to suit application.
