Unlike most mid drive conversions for sale in the UK, this powerful and road legal mid drive conversion kit has been built to our specification. It also carries CE / ROHS certification. It is very light weight (3.8 kgs) and extremely quiet. This is genuine UK stock and is available for immediate dispatch. This is a comprehensive kit allowing you to convert your existing bike into an exciting E-bike. Many other suppliers offer kits for sale, but when they are delivered, people discover that they are far from a complete kit. We trade in an honest an open way. Mid motor kits are very versatile and capable of being fitted to a bike with any wheel size. You will need to remove the front derailleur mechanism as it is no longer required. Once fitted you will find that your bike is not only very quick, but is still relatively light and manoeverable when compared to a bike with a hub motor. The centre of gravity remains very low. Bottom Bracket size 68 – 73mm. This is the most common bottom bracket size in the UK, but please check that your bikes bottom bracket is this width. Power Output – 250 / 500 watts. As the power limit for on road use in the UK is limited to 250 watts, we have specified this kit to be switchable into two modes. Accessed via the colour display, it gives 250 watts for on road use and 500 watts for off road use. With a reduction rate of 1:21.9 and 90nm of torque available, this motor will climb hills extremely well. In 250 watt mode, the speed is limited to a UK legal 15.5 mph. In 500 watt mode, you are able to set your own desired top speed. Once switched into 500 watt mode, this motor is quite capable of achieving speeds in excess of 22 mph. A larger chainring will allow you to ride quickly without a ridiculous pedal cadence. Most kits have a 42 tooth chainring and in our opinion are geared too low. With a 4 inch LCD screen and an anodized alloy frame with separate control buttons. This display has proved to be a big improvement over the LCD screens offered with most kits. The separate buttons allow you to make changes easily on the move as they can be mounted in a convenient position. With a sturdy construction and crystal clear display, this unit not only looks very smart but is built to last. This can be added to your kit but the motor will operate normally without it, using the pedal assist function. Many kits will include a twist throttle. It is still a grey area with legality in the UK but the thumb throttle is the only accepted way to remain legal. Twist throttles are definitely not legal. This allows you to set the desired pedal assistance via the C600 display. If you wish to work harder, or increase your battery range, then set the assistance level lower. If you wish to take a leisurely ride, or climb some steep hills easily, then set it higher. You have a choice of 5 levels in 250 watt mode and a further 5 levels in 500 watt mode. Please message us for details and price. This optional sensor cuts power to the motor, for a split second, as you shift gears. It will save a lot of chain and sprocket wear as it allows a very smooth shift. More powerful motors will cause excessive wear and damage to the drivetrain when shifting gears without a gearshift sensor. It can be added to this kit. We include a pair of ebrake levers for cable operated brakes. These will cut power to the motor when you apply the brakes. If you have hydraulic brakes there are brake sensors available online. If your brake levers have built-in gear shifters then this kit can be used without the ebrake levers and will operate normally. LB-01 Motor – Complete with mounting hardware. 2 x aluminium pedal cranks. 2 x Ebrake levers. Waterproof main wiring harness. Please note that this listing does not include the 36 volt battery.
